The Multifold Manus of Alderia (AKA Miss Manus), the pride of the entire house of transmutation magics, as well as much of the school, enters her final year of schooling at the prestigious Fairgarland Academy. At the same time, a new student arrives by train after a restless three days of travel looking to learn magic, though he may not be who he says he is. Galahad Loxely, at least that is what he introduces himself as, quickly pledging to join the house Miss Manus presides over. Galahad may act like a novice in transmutation, but Miss Manus can quickly tell something is different about him– especially after he starts getting into fights in her name after just a week at the school. Galahad’s arrival promises to make Manus’s final year as a student at Fairgarland… magical.
